Vumbura Plains is set within a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve in the far north of the Okavango Delta. Spanning nearly 24,000 hectares, the Vumbura Reserve offers an incredible variety of habitats, rich wildlife diversity, and expansive areas to explore.
Thanks to its mix of permanent waterways and vast stretches of dry land, the camp offers the full spectrum of safari activities. Glide silently through the channels in a mokoro or speed across the delta by motorboat for exceptional birding and wildlife viewing. On land, explore marshy floodplains in open safari vehicles, or enjoy guided walking safaris for a more intimate connection with the bush. A mobile spa service is also available for indulgent massages between adventures.
The camp comprises two separate lodges, each with seven tented suites built on raised wooden decks beneath a lush canopy of indigenous trees. Light and airy with a touch of Scandinavian design, each suite features an outdoor shower, elevated lounge, private deck, and plunge pool, all with views over the water-filled plains. Dining is a memorable affair, with gourmet meals often accompanied by traditional dancing under the African sky.
