On a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, Sanctuary Stanley’s Camp is sheltered among a forest of ebony and sausage trees. Animal activity is plentiful in this region of the Okavango Delta, with every change in season bringing different wildlife to the area.
The many wild creatures inhabiting this land can be discovered in a multitude of ways. There are the game drives conducted in open 4×4 vehicles when the area’s water level permits it, and by mokoro or motorised boat when it does not. Walking safaris are also offered, with guides eager to share their knowledge of local animals and how to track them.
Ten Canvas Tents make up the accommodation on offer at Stanley’s Camp. Each is delicately decorated to provide a luxurious yet understated elegance: antique furniture, oriental carpets and hand-crafted beds draped in fine linen. The tents all feature en-suite bathrooms and private balconies complete with inviting hammocks.
